Over the past, I photographed a traditional Indian wedding ceremony and I remember being absolutely blown away by beautiful details surrounding me. The bride wore a very intricate dress. She was adorned with glamorous, over-the-top jewelry, and honestly, she was simply flawless. The ceremony itself was very symbolic and graceful. Since then, I have become intrigued by the Indian culture and it is always delightful when I have the opportunity to do a photo shoot that is Indian inspired, such as this recent one, which I titled, “The Glamorous Indian Bride“. For this special photo shoot, I collaborated with Tina P. of Kohl Makeup, and model, Keerit D. It took us over a month to plan this shoot together, but I would say the wait was well worth it! We also had a ton of fun trying exploring different ideas, our goal was to capture a modernized Indian bride, without taking away tradition. Here are a few of my favourite shots:
Wow! I am finally learning to balance time between my full time job, school, shooting, processing/editing, and BLOGGING! After a shoot, I look forward to blogging and sharing photos, but it feels like I take forever to update my website and write the posts. I think other photographs alike can relate! Anyway, this was one of the features I meant to share with you all earlier. Late September, I photographed two sisters, little Rakes and Nay again. If you follow me on Facebook, I have mentioned that I did my first children portrait session with these girls and I have never looked back since. One year later, I was asked to do another shoot and it was so great because I thought, “how amazing is it to see these two sisters grow in my photos?” Maybe we should do one when they hit high school and compare the difference – that would be precious!
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the shoot:
Barnett Beach was such a gorgeous location. It was my first time there and I was blown away by its beauty. It is just one of those places that can overwhelm you with such a peaceful feeling. I think the girls had a blast as well and I was able to capture a few journalistic shots by watching them explore!
There are more blog features to come – I have so much to catch up on you don’t even know!
If you have any questions or inquiries regarding booking a family/children portrait session, please leave a comment!
Happy Monday everyone :)
